What you can expect

Claire will start with a gentle move, flow and breath session, we have found that this is the perfect way to bring your mind and body into the 'now' to forget what is going on outside of the venue in the rest of your life - this is a time for you and you alone to unwind and relax.  As she goes through the movement and stretches she will ensure you are mindful of your breath, helping you to relax further, coming down onto your mat with some lovely full body stretches, you will find your own relaxed position, making sure you are comfy and ready for the sound bath.

As you relax on your mat and as you follow Claires gentle instruction on your breathing, we will transition into the sound bath allowing the soothing tones to wash over you, absorbing the vibrations and sounds of the instruments we will use, they will include Tibetan bowls, crystal bowls, koshi chimes, ocean drum, rainstick, flow chimes, small gong and tingsha bells. As I play the bowls and chimes, Claire will move around the room with the percussion instruments, creating an even more immersive experience, helping you reach a more meditative and mindful state of 'just being'.

Once the session is finished I will invite you to come back from your relaxation and join us for a cup of herbal tea and if you wish some oracle cards.

The Science and History

For centuries, diverse cultures have utilized sound for healing and spiritual connection. From the resonant vibrations of singing bowls to the rhythms of shamanic drums and the power of chants, there's a long-standing understanding of sound's impact on our physical, emotional, and spiritual states – a legacy that informs today's sound healing practices.

Sound bath benefits arise from resonant sound waves influencing brainwave frequencies, shifting them to calmer alpha and theta states. This can trigger the parasympathetic nervous system, potentially lowering heart rate, blood pressure, and stress hormones, thus reducing stress and anxiety through calming vibrations.

The quieter mental state can also lead to improved sleep by quieting the mind. Furthermore, the vibrations may facilitate a gentle release of emotional blockages and foster a greater sense of balance and well-being. These sound frequencies can also support deeper meditation and a stronger sense of presence.

My journey into the world of sound began with a deep personal appreciation for its ability to soothe and uplift. This led me to explore the therapeutic potential of sound and it's potential benefits for both mind and body. My intention in offering these sound baths is to create a safe and nurturing space where you can disconnect from the busyness of everyday life and reconnect with your inner-self. I am passionate about the power of sound to facilitate healing, relaxation, and a deeper sense of harmony and balance within ourselves.

As Claire stepped into help, it became obvious the benefits we both brought to the sessions both with movement to relax and a more immersive experience

Something Else I'm Working On .....

I am also putting together a women's circle programme, with view to look into yourself and your own wellbeing a bit more, helping you to find things that can support you in finding some inner peace through developing and exploring your own spirituality.  This currently a work in progress, but you can find out a bit more on my Women's Circle's page and sign yourself up to the waiting list.
